What is a billion?
This is too true to be very funny
The next time you hear a politician use the
word "billion" in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the "politicians" spending
YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
one of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and
20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New
Orleans It's amazing what you can learn wit h some simple division . .
Louisiana Senator , Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress
for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number, what does
it mean?
A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of
New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you
each get $516,528
B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family
gets $2,066,012.

wholly to Him; [He will cause your thoughts to become
agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be
established and succeed.'
Right now you may be on the edge of a major
decision...about to make a change in your job or your
church or your personal life. You know you need
divine guidance. And you're hoping desperately to
hear from the Lord.
If that's your situation, don't panic. Being led by
the Lord isn't some complicated process that only the
spiritual 'pros' can master.
I found that out years ago when I was a new believer.
I wanted to live in a way that was pleasing to God,
but I didn't know how to make decisions that were in
line with His will.
Then one day as I was studying The Amplified Bible, I
came across Proverbs 16:3. Immediately, I latched
onto this verse and began to use it in my life - and I
can tell you now from experience, it works!
It will work for you too if you'll do what it says.
Roll your works over on God, commit your ways to Him,
trust them wholly to Him. He'll start adjusting your
thoughts to be like His until, at some point, you'll
just know the right thing to do. Of course, faith is
involved. One of the requirements is trust, and you
won't be able to do that without feeding on God's
Word. Then as you practice rolling your works upon
the Lord and trusting Him, you become more confident
in your ability to hear. Start now with whatever
problem is bothering you. Pray and trust God with it.
In other words, believe you recieve when you pray.
Stop worrying and begin believing.
Learn to live this way and it doesn't matter whether
you've been a Christian 30 minutes or 30 years, your
plans shall be established and succeed!

RANT TIME.
I am so sick of these scumsucking, parasitic, bottomfeeding scavengers, that suck the very life out of everyone, and make up their own policies, rules, regulations, and demogogic bullthis, until I would like to start a revolutionary trend that will make large companies, appreciate their customers or stop being able to collect anything but grief anytime they try to charge anyone.
AOL is one of those assinine services that want to charge in advance of giving any services. My other home account, says that I am not in the rears on any payments, and don't owe anything, but they put up a pop-up and won't let me on line until I give them my credit-card information again.
They already have it or I wouldn't be online at anytime.
Direct TV is another assinine service that sends you a bill, with a past due notice, that states, DATE DUE -IMMEDIATELY.
Then they charge a late fee, of $5. no matter when you pay the this.
Which since they don't give you a due date, they are going to charge you a late fee no matter what.
If you don't pay they ass, they cut off your service, so how could you be late, paying them if the service interruption date is two weeks away.
Then when you call either of these monopolistic bastards, you get a supersucker that doesn't speak ENGLISH.
Every service anyone gets practices the same this because these a-holes get away with it. I'm sick of all these motherplucker

This is the season
This is the season when millions of people around the world pause for another (perhaps a closer) look at the "babe in the manger" - "the Christ-child." Most are familiar with the Christmas story found in the NT book of Matthew, but there's another, more complete picture of this perfect gift from God, found in the NT book of Phillipians, Chapter 2, kind of a "rest of the story" thing."It seems appropriate to consider it, at a time when this ol' world is steeped in chaos and uncertainties of all kinds.
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, who, being in very nature and essence, God, didn't consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness (the Nativity). And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross. Therefore God exhaulted him to the highest place and gave him a name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Furthermore, no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ, to the glory of God . (NT 1 Cor. 1:20). Republicans Win in Special Elections
Congressional Special Elections:
Republicans Win Big In Ohio and Virginia
Look Toward Illinois and Louisiana
Yesterday, something was happening besides another presidential debate (borrrinnnggg). In two Special Congressional elections, both Bob Latta of Ohio (R), and Rob Wittman of Virginia (R), won decisive victories in which the Democrats thought they could win in close elections.
These results of the special Congressional elections in Ohio and Virginia could be further confirmation of a shifting political environment, an electorate desperate for another change in Washington, and a wide-open congressional playing field. Both special elections in Ohio and Virginia have made one thing clear: the political climate continues to move away from the issues that brought
Democrats success in 2006.
As we approach the 2008 election season, Congressional Democrats are divided, still consumed with their hatred for George Bush, shouting at one another, left without a winning strategy and with the stark realization that they probably won't get a repeat of their 2006 election success. They have forfeited the mantle of change and the American electorate is restless, again. 2008 should be intersting.

They get into the gang by killing a black female. They are currently in Arundel County, Prince George & Washington D.C. There is no telling when they will be in this area. I know she was just a little dog but
Ruffles had been with me for 16 1/2 years
until 2 days ago when she went to play in
God's gardens where the flowers never fade.
She was a little ball of delightful energy
and was by my side through many ups and downs.
She will be missed.

A Different Christmas Poem
The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.
Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.
My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.
The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the
sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.
My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.
"What are you doing?" I asked without fear,
"Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!"
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..
To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right,
I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night."
"It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December,"
Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers."
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ',
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.
I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.
I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..
Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall."
"So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right."
"But isn't there something I can do, at the least,
"Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done,
For being away from your wife and your son."
Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.
For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."
PLEASE, Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people
as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our
U.S. Service men and women for our being able to celebrate these
festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we
owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who
sacrificed themselves for us.

2. Dress Up !! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart."

3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!
When all through our land,
