The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shipwreck
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to pray to God.
However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, ! and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"
"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything."
"You a! re mistaken!" the voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings."
"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?"
"He prayed that all your prayers be answered."
For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.
This is too good not to share. With obedience come blessings. My prayer for you today is that all your prayers are answered. Be blessed.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the director, "We fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub. "
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" said the director, "A normal person would pull the plug ...

And reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and
Called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness

We have killed our unborn
and called it choice.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor,
logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls
responding negatively.
The church is now receiving international requests
for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio Program, 'The
Rest of the Story, and received a larger response to this program than
any other he has ever aired.
With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our Nation and
wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called
One Nation Under God.
If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends 'if you

Don't Fart in Bed
If this story doesn't make you cry for laughing so hard,let me know and I'll pray for you.
This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years. The only friction in their marriage was the husbands habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke.
The noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air. Every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor; she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out.
The years went by and he continued to blast them out, Then one Thanksgiving morning as she was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the bowl where she had put the turkey innards and neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts and a malicious thought came to her.
She took the bowl and went upstairs where her husband was sound asleep and, gently pulling back the bed covers, she pulled back the elastic waistband of his underpants and emptie d the bowl of turkey guts into his shorts. Some time later she heard her husband waken with his usual trumpeting which was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran into the bathroom.
The wife could hardly control herself as she rolled on the floor laughing, tears in her eyes. After years of torture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good. About twenty minutes later, her husband came downstairs in his bloodstained underpants with a look of horror on his face. She bit her lip as she asked him what was the matter.
He said, Honey, you were right. All these years you have warned me and I didn't listen to you. What do you mean? asked his wife. Well, you always told me that one day I would end up farting my guts out, and today it finally happened. But by the grace of God, some Vaseline, and two fingers, I think I got Most of them back in.

Funny Story
Funny Story:
I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes.
We decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was
watching a teenager sitting next to him. The teenager had spiked
hair in all different colors: green, red, orange, and blue; my dad
kept staring at him.
The teenager would look and find him staring every time. When the
teenager had enough, he sarcastically asked, "What's the matter old
man, never done anything wild in your life?"
Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke
on his response; knowing he would have a good one. And in his classic style
he did not bat an eye in his response.
"Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were
my son."

Tips from a successful black marriage
Recently, a friend sent me a copy of Joy Jones's (no relation) March column in The Washington Post, "Marriage Is for White People." In it, Jones, a single Black woman, reflects on the notion that African-Americans have given up on the institution of marriage altogether. After reading it, my friend and I began sharing our views about what we thought were the solutions.
I've heard all of the gloomy statistics before. I know, for instance, that 42 percent of African-American women and 43 percent of African-American men ages 15 and over have never been married, compared with only 21 percent of White women and 27 percent of White men, according to the federal government's 2004 American Community Survey.
I also understand how I have come to be, at age 35, among the ranks of never-married African-Americans. I was born in the 1970s, a time when parents were teaching their daughters, as my mother taught me, to focus on education and career. If I focused on these, so the reasoning went, then a family of my own would naturally follow.
Today I have the education and the career, but the family has yet to follow.
For many years I worked so hard on staying "focused" that I either ignored or dismissed opportunities to develop relationships that could lead to marriage. When I finally did decide to focus on relationships, I spent time trying to decide what I wanted. A year later I thought that it would happen instantly, or at least soon.
It didn't, but I remain optimistic that marriage will happen for me one day. Meanwhile, I am learning that life is always about balance. Focusing too much on one thing--whether it is career, family, or relationship--is never a good thing.
Likewise, I believe that African-Americans should stop focusing so much on how bad things are on the marriage front and how we got here, and instead look at ways to make things better. There are African-Americans who are happily married, and we should look to them for inspiration and advice.
One successful marriage I know of is that between my uncle Arthur and aunt Altha. Arthur, 60, and Altha, 54, have been married for more than 31 years. They married soon after college, before either of them had delved deeply into a career. They achieved career and family success simultaneously and not consecutively, as I was advised to do.
Uncle Arthur and Aunt Altha don't always agree with each other, yet they always seem to communicate with, respect, and love each other. They have fun together and seem to know when to ignore or simply give their mate room to breathe.
I asked Uncle Arthur and Aunt Altha what they thought about the state of Black marriage, and here's what they said single people ought to know:
Respect each other. Young girls and boys need to learn early on how to be a friend to the opposite sex.
Stop building your life around rap music and bling-bling. In other words, quit being so superficial. Guys focus too much on a woman's body, and women focus too much on a man's wallet. Money won't buy you love, and looks will fade over time.
Everyone wants to be catered to, but don't be blinded by that need. Look for the person who is hardworking but who may not always have a lot of time to spend with you. Many of our young men are brought up by women who smother them. Likewise, young women think that the man who loves them must shower them with attention. However, a man who is working on his career and making a living for his family will never be able to cater to you the same way that the lazy one whose sole focus is dating you will. A woman who is out there taking care of business will never be able to smother her man the way his mother did.
Remain flexible about choosing a mate as you grow older and gain success. Aunt Altha stated, "My aunt has three successful daughters. Two are unmarried, and one is married. The one who married did so soon after she finished school. I don't have a solution, but in thinking about it, I am sure the other two had challenges as they got older because they weren't just going to marry anybody."
Seek balance as you progress through life. You don't have to wait until you finish school to focus on a relationship. The two of you can build together. The key to making this work is to select someone who wants the same things out of life that you do.
Being married will not prevent you from achieving your dreams. On the contrary, being married will allow you to accomplish more than you can as a single person. The commitment of marriage inspires both of you to strive for more out of life for you and your family, and the foundation of marriage will support your efforts.
Get the ring and marriage first before you try setting up house to raise children. The time when a woman has a baby is one of the hardest periods for men, according to Uncle Arthur. "Women tend to be very emotional while pregnant, and after the baby is born, we have to learn to adapt to our wife spending most of her time with the child." Consequently, this is the time when men are most likely to leave, especially if they have not made a commitment to the mother.
Uncle Arthur and Aunt Altha also have advice about creating a successful marriage for young couples who are contemplating taking the plunge:
Don't marry someone if you don't like his or her family. You don't just marry the person--you marry the family, too. If the family does not like you, they will always try to find fault with you and work to destroy the marriage. If you still want to marry, Uncle Arthur suggests that you have your mate straighten out any problems with his or her relatives rather than rely on you to do it.
Don't marry with the idea that you will change your partner. Your mate may change, but not because you pressured him or her to. Uncle Arthur says that when his future wife met him, he was not one for going to church. Even though they were both Christians, he did not bother her about going, and she did not bother him about not going. In time he started going, but it was his choice, he insists.
Remember that marriage is about give and take. There will be times when you don't agree with your mate but you have to go along with his or her choice anyway. "As much as I love cars, I have never picked out a car since I've been married," says Uncle Arthur. "I put a bug in her ear about what I might like, but I let her pick out all of the cars."
Don't be afraid to trust your mate. Uncle Arthur says, "Most girls, Black or White, don't want to get married because they don't trust anyone. Trust comes naturally from within yourself. My wife never asked where I was going or when I was coming back, unless she needed to know so that I could watch the kids or because we'd planned on doing something. I did not ask her, either. We trust each other."
Regardless of your past experiences, remember that marriage is not out of the question for you. Countless people get married for the first time in their 40s. If you're not sure how to make it happen for you, start by asking for advice from the happily married people within your inner circle.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.
Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.
As they made their bed on the hard floor, the

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

FBI Prepares Vast Database Of Biometrics
$1 Billion Project to Include Images of Irises and Faces

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. -- The FBI is embarking on a $1 billion effort to build the world's largest computer database of peoples' physical characteristics, a project that would give the government unprecedented abilities to identify individuals in the United States and abroad.
Digital images of faces, fingerprints and palm patterns are already flowing into FBI systems in a climate-controlled, secure basement here. Next month, the FBI intends to award a 10-year contract that would significantly expand the amount and kinds of biometric information it receives. And in the coming years, law enforcement authorities around the world will be able to rely on iris patterns, face-shape data, scars and perhaps even the unique ways people walk and talk, to solve crimes and identify criminals and terrorists. The FBI will also retain, upon request by employers, the fingerprints of employees who have undergone criminal background checks so the employers can be notified if employees have brushes with the law.
"Bigger. Faster. Better. That's the bottom line," said Thomas E. Bush III, assistant director of the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division, which operates the database from its headquarters in the Appalachian foothills.
The increasing use of biometrics for identification is raising questions about the ability of Americans to avoid unwanted scrutiny. It is drawing criticism from those who worry that people's bodies will become de facto national identification cards. Critics say that such government initiatives should not proceed without proof that the technology really can pick a criminal out of a crowd.
The use of biometric data is increasing throughout the government. For the past two years, the Defense Department has been storing in a database images of fingerprints, irises and faces of more than 1.5 million Iraqi and Afghan detainees, Iraqi citizens and foreigners who need access to U.S. military bases. The Pentagon also collects DNA samples from some Iraqi detainees, which are stored separately.
The Department of Homeland Security has been using iris scans at some airports to verify the identity of travelers who have passed background checks and who want to move through lines quickly. The department is also looking to apply iris- and face-recognition techniques to other programs. The DHS already has a database of millions of sets of fingerprints, which includes records collected from U.S. and foreign travelers stopped at borders for criminal violations, from U.S. citizens adopting children overseas, and from visa applicants abroad. There could be multiple records of one person's prints.
"It's going to be an essential component of tracking," said Barry Steinhardt, director of the Technology and Liberty Project of the American Civil Liberties Union. "It's enabling the Always On Surveillance Society."
If successful, the system planned by the FBI, called Next Generation Identification, will collect a wide variety of biometric information in one place for identification and forensic purposes.
In an underground facility the size of two football fields, a request reaches an FBI server every second from somewhere in the United States or Canada, comparing a set of digital fingerprints against the FBI's database of 55 million sets of electronic fingerprints. A possible match is made -- or ruled out--as many as 100,000 times a day.
Soon, the server at CJIS headquarters will also compare palm prints and, eventually, iris images and face-shape data such as the shape of an earlobe. If all goes as planned, a police officer making a traffic stop or a border agent at an airport could run a 10-fingerprint check on a suspect and within seconds know if the person is on a database of the most wanted criminals and terrorists. An analyst could take palm prints lifted from a crime scene and run them against the expanded database. Intelligence agents could exchange biometric information worldwide.
More than 55 percent of the search requests now are made for background checks on civilians in sensitive positions in the federal government, and jobs that involve children and the elderly, Bush said. Currently those prints are destroyed or returned when the checks are completed. But the FBI is planning a "rap-back" service, under which employers could ask the FBI to keep employees' fingerprints in the database, subject to state privacy laws, so that if that employees are ever arrested or charged with a crime, the employers would be notified.
Advocates say bringing together information from a wide variety of sources and making it available to multiple agencies increases the chances to catch criminals. The Pentagon has already matched several Iraqi suspects against the FBI's criminal fingerprint database. The FBI intends to make both criminal and civilian data available to authorized users, officials said. There are 900,000 federal, state and local law enforcement officers who can query the fingerprint database today, they said.

Will the Christ Child Come?

One Christmas we had an interesting experience that I would like to share.
Halfway through December we were doing the regular evening things when there
was a knock at the door. We opened it to find a small package with a beautiful
ceramic lamb inside. We looked at the calendar and realized that the 12 days
of Christmas were beginning! We waited excitedly for the next night's surprise
and only then, with the gift of a matching shepherd, did we realize that
the lamb was part of a nativity set.
Each night we grew more excited to see what piece we would receive.
Each was exquisitely beautiful. The kids kept trying to catch the givers
as we slowly built the scene at the manger and began to focus on Christ's birth.
On Christmas Eve, all the pieces were in place, all but the Baby Jesus.
My 12-year-old son really wanted to catch our benefactors and began
to devise all kinds of ways to trap them.
He ate dinner in the minivan,
watching and waiting, but no one came.
Finally, we called him in to go through
our family's Christmas Eve traditions.
But before the kids went to bed, we
checked the front step - - no Baby Jesus! We began to worry that my son
had scared them off.
My husband suggested that maybe they dropped the Jesus and there wouldn't
be anything coming. Somehow, something was missing that Christmas Eve.
There was a feeling that things weren't complete. The kids went to bed and before
I went to bed, I again checked to see if the Jesus had come - - no, the doorstep was empty.
In our family, the kids can open their stockings when they want to, but they have to wait to open any presents until Dad wakes up. So one by one they woke up very early and I also woke up to watch them. Even before they opened their stockings, each child checked to see if perhaps during the night the Baby Jesus had come.
Missing that piece of the set seemed to have an odd effect. At least it changed
my focus. I knew there were presents under the tree for me and I was excited
to watch the children open their gifts, but first on my mind was the feeling of
waiting for the ceramic Christ Child. We had opened just about all of the presents
when one of the children found one more for me buried deep beneath the limbs of the tree.
He handed me a small package from my former visiting teaching companion.
This sister was somewhat less-active in the church. I had been her visiting teacher
for a couple of years and then, when she was asked to be a visiting teacher, she requested to go with me. I had learned over time they didn't have much for Christmas, so that their focus was on the children. It sounded like she didn't get many gifts to open, so I had always given her a small package -- new dish towels, the next year's Relief Society lesson manual -- not much, but something for her to open.
I was touched when at church on the day before Christmas, she had given me this
small package, saying it was just a token of her love and appreciation. As I took
off the bow, I remembered my friendship with her and was filled with gratitude for
knowing her and for her kindness and sacrifice in this giving me a gift. But as the
paper fell away, I began to tremble and cry. There in the small brown box was
the Baby Jesus! He had come!
I realized on that Christmas Day, that Christ will come into our lives in ways that
we don't expect. The spirit of Christ comes into our hearts as we serve one another.
We had waited and watched for Him to come, expecting the dramatic "knock at the door
and scurrying of feet" but He came in a small, simple package that represented service, friendship, gratitude and love.
This experience taught me that the beginning of the true spirit of Christmas
comes as we open our hearts and actively focus on the Savior. But we will most
likely find Him in the small and simple acts of love, friendship and service that we
give to each other. This Christmas I want to feel again the joy of knowing that Christ is in our home. I want to focus on loving and serving. More than that, I want to open my heart to Him all year that I may see Him again.

BroJon Gazette, December, 2007
One of my most trusted sources for "conspiracy" issues is the Brother Jonathan Gazette. The Editor's computer has been under constant and continuous hacker attack for over a year. He has finally uncovered who is trying to shut him up, and he revealed this in the first part of this letter, his first in a year, but I haven't included that information, although if you want it, let me know. What I did want for you to read was what I believe is the real story about so-called, Global Warming. You may believe this, or not, but there must be some legitimate reason why so many notable scientists disassociate themselves from the Al Gore version. You will never hear this side of the story from the liberal press. Whatever you feel about the issue of global warming, you need this information.

This story involves a popular website called Wikipedia. This is a well-known online encyclopedia with entries written by professors and educators or anyone knowledgeable of certain areas of information. All the entries are supposed to by signed by the author and changes to the entries are done with the approval of the original author. All this information is on the Wikipedia website. This has made Wikipedia a wonderful resource for researchers and school children. But in the last year, Wikipedia has become a major source for “disinformation.â€
“Somebody†has been breaking into the Wikipedia website and without signatures or approvals has been adding to entries, changing entries and even deleting entries. The break-ins were untraceable.
In the last six months, a private research firm got approval to search through the Wikipedia logs and ferret out who was making all those false encyclopedia entries. It was a long laborious exercise to translate all those log entries into the addresses of the original computers which made those illegal entries. And guess what? A great many of those false entries were coming from the “basement†of the CIA in Langley Virginia. Who would have thought? Well, the CIA does break into many computers using national security as a cover story, sometimes with or without court orders. So this fact was not unexpected.
What was truly amazing was that the vast majority of all illegal break ins and entries into Wikipedia were coming from the “basement†of NASA Headquarters in Washington DC. Yes, NASA Headquarters right on the Mall, next to the National Air and Space Museum.
Does NASA have teams of computer geeks with special knowledge of computer programming for the space program? You betcha. I used to be one of them. In 1983, I personally built and modified the animal cages for the rat and monkey experiments which flew on the Shuttle Columbia in 1984. I personally wrote the computer program using an array of 12 Apple computers to collect, store and process all the biological data, in real time, from the 24 rats and 4 monkeys. In 1983, Apple II was considered, “state of the art.†Apples didn't have the problems of the old IBM PC which constantly and randomly shut down and stopped working. The problem was not the PC itself, it was the poorly constructed program called MicroSoft MSDOS. To make the computer run again, somebody needed to manually push Reset to unfreeze and reboot the computer, something NASA thought was undesirable for use in the space program, so Apples were chosen instead.
I personally don't call myself a computer geek, and I have never worked with teams of programmers. NASA always hired me to fix specific problems and I did them all single-handedly. I did build my first home-made computer in 1975 and the only language I could use then was machine code or assembly code. There was then no Algol, Fortran nor Basic for home-made computers. There was only manual entry of each microprocessor instruction. This is called machine code. Programming computers in machine code is a trait common to “computer geeks.†So in that sense, I could be called a computer “geek.†And if you want to call me that – it's OK. But just say it softly so I can't hear you. I detest “computer geeks†especially when they “team up†to break in and destroy my computer, or to break into Wikipedia. And what has NASA/CIA been doing breaking into Wikipedia?
Most of the changed or modified entries in Wikipedia had to do with changing the facts and history of “Global Warming.†Based on the entries in Wikipedia, you would believe that global warming is real and it is supported by the scientific facts, but as I have shown in numerous articles in the Brother Jonathan Gazette all those facts are, in fact, false and simply “manufactured†by NASA. Since I was publishing proof that Global Warming was false, NASA/CIA had no choice but to also break in to my computer and shut down the BroJon Gazette.
Carbon Dioxide is not and can never be a “greenhouse gas.†There is no such thing as a greenhouse layer, there is no “warming†of the planet, there is no melting of the ice caps, there is no warming of the oceans nor rise in the sea levels. There is no melting of glaciers caused by “warming.†All those claims, and many more, made by Al Gore in his movie “An Inconvenient Truth†are 100 percent false and mostly coming from a single source, NASA's “expert†James Hansen. It's not coming from NASA, but only from Hansen himself. But even now, Hansen admits that he lied in order to promote the concept of “global warming.â€
So what's going on here? The strange “wedding†of NASA and the CIA is what I have named the TROIKA. Since the roots of this organization were first formed in southern Russia in 1895, I have given it a Russian name. It's a long story, with lots of documentation, so that will be coming up later.
What's next is a very short set of paragraphs explaining why there is no such thing as a “Hole in the Ozone Layer†nor “Global Warming.†It is so simple even grammar school kids who are forced to sit through screenings of “An Inconvenient Truth†can understand it. The proof is devastating and scientific, and it's simple. Most Americans believe that Global Warming is an American scientific theory and is supported by a “consensus†of scientists at NASA. Wrong!
The very first use of the terms “hole in the ozone†and “global warming†came not from Americans in 1980 or 1990, but came much earlier from the basement of the Kremlin in Moscow. It was pure poppycock propaganda from the Soviet KGB, and first broadcast from Radio Moscow in 1970. I know exactly where I was in 1970, and I heard those broadcasts myself. I was a short wave radio ham, and frequently listened to Radio Moscow as an alternate news source. Today most people have another source of alternate news, it's called the Internet. The purpose of the false KGB propaganda was to slow down the American Space program in the race to the moon in 1970, and was designed to blame Americans for polluting the planet, and thus shut down the world economy. It still has that same function today. The Global Warming theory made no sense to me when I first heard it in 1970. It still makes no scientific sense today. During this season let us take time to share the true meaning of Kwanzaa
with family,friends and the community.
May we prosper and grow as we enjoy this Holiday season.

I wish all a very Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Happy new year.
I feel that is important to focus on Kwanzaa and the true meaning of that
celebration (in my opinion).
I don't want to focus on the political
meaning of the different days of Kwanzaa because I feel that it is
much more than that.
My understanding of Kwanzaa from a very early age (which is right
around the time that Ron Karenga coined it) was that the time chosen
was based on the last week of the year.
This was the only week of the year that slaves did not have to work.
This was the only time that they had the ability to socialize among
themselves and find some pleasure in life for an extended period of time.
Think about that.
Many generations of African Americans were borne into and lived
their entire lives in slavery.
It is their sacrifice and commitment to survival that is responsible for our (African American) very existence today.
Therefore in the spirit of their sacrifice, I urge you to spend some time
this season acknowledging their contribution to our survival.

I read with shock and horror, but not disbelief, that mercury IS the ACTIVE INGREDIENT in flu vaccine and that "M", the maker of vaccine-laced flu shots, knows all of the terrible things it does to people who are vaccinated, including children, but uses it anyway.
We cannot confirm that this is really from an insider, nor are we certain that the mechanism of action of mercury as described is correct, but we need to pay attention to what "Steve" (not his real name) is saying:
"Without mercury, flu vaccines are less effective than one cup of herbal tea. With mercury, the vaccine is very effective at killing nerve cells and more effective than one cup of herbal tea in preventing the flu. In fact almost as many vaccinated people get the flu as the normal population...."

Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on
undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only 10 percent of the students in Elite higher education come from families in lower half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough. We ar e not doing enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income distribution."
If you know of a family earning less than $40,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from now on undergraduate students from low-in come families can go to Harvard for free...no tuition and no student loans!
